Paris Saint-Germain set to sign Sanchez

PSG are working on a deal for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, according to Le Parisien.

Despite heavy rumours regarding a €220m move for Neymar, the French club are also thought to be pursuing the 28-year-old Chilean, and are preparing to offer him wages comparable to Thiago Silva and Edinson Cavani, according to the report.

Arsenal do not want to sell Sanchez at all and the official line remains that they are prepared for the Chilean international to see out the final year of his contact at the club if he does not sign a new deal and leave on a free transfer next summer.

However, according to sources, Sanchez expects to be allowed to leave and the 28-year-old is attracted to PSG who can meet his financial demands and also offer Champions League football.
Sanchez has been a long-term target of PSG who want to add more experience and quality to their squad as they attempt to reach their dream of winning the Champions League.

PSG have already shown their intent by hijacking City’s deal to sign Dani Alves after the defender opted to terminate his contract at Juventus. Sanchez fits the profile of the kind of player they want to attract to add to their exciting young talents such as Marco Verratti, who they steadfastly refuse to sell to Barcelona and who is on a long-term deal.

Signing Sanchez and Alves, and with other players lined up, will also convince Verratti that he should remain at PSG. Bringing in Sanchez, who has also attracted interest from Chelsea and Bayern Munich, would be a huge statement of intent from PSG.

It is unclear what level of fee would be required to convince Arsenal to sell Sanchez, although it is unlikely to be less than £50million. Manager Arsene Wenger has always insisted that he believes he can convince him to stay. During Arsenal’s pre-season tour to Australia Wenger said he had exchanged positive text messages with Sanchez who is on holiday in Chile after his involvement in the Confederations Cup.

However Sanchez, in an interview with Chilean radio station Radio Sport, recently suggested that he had made his mind up about his preferred next step and was waiting for a response from Arsenal.

Arsenal to sell Wilshere, offer Sanchez big deal

The sure thing is that Arsenal needs to do some clear out so that there will be much space for incomings.

Players like Perez, Campbell, Gibbs, Debuchy and so on have been touted out this summer but a big name has been included which I know will spring up a debate as to, is it a right move to sell Jack Wilshere. Yes, that is the name; Jack Wilshere.

The Daily Mail reported that Arsenal are ready to off load him so as to meet Sanchez's demands.

Though for now, there is no concrete fact as to if there is an interest, but I'm sure if Arsenal put him for sale today, he is gonna draw a lot of interest, europe and outside europe.

Arsenal latest Transfer News- Arsenal interested in Serie A Star - Koulibaly

According to  Daily Star, Arsenal have made an inquiry concerning Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly this summer.

Arsene Wenger is expected to bring in another central defender as Mertesacker is due to retire next summer, Chambers is expected to leave, Gabriel is nursing a serious knee injury and Koscielny has been plagued by Achilles issues for the past two years.

It looks like the boss has already started to work on his targets as the Daily Star are citing a report coming from TMW that claims Arsenal have lodged an enquiry with Napoli over a deal to sign Koulibaly.
The 26-year-old has developed in to one of the best centre-backs in Serie A since joining Napoli from Genk in 2014 and he was strongly linked with a move to Chelsea last summer but it never materialize.

He ended up staying at the Stadio San Paolo and signed a new long term contract with the club.
Koulibaly’s agent, Bruno Satin, suggested last month that the defender could secure a move before the window closes at the end of August. He was quoted by the Daily Star saying:
“Koulibaly? The transfer market is long as it will be open until August 31, something might happen before then,” who knows.
Any potential deal would require a huge transfer fee but Koulibaly could be worth the investment as the Senegal international has all the attributes to be an excellent signing for us.

However, it was added that it will be very difficult for us to sign him because Napoli is in a strong financial state and not interested in selling the player. But, anything can happen.

Arsenal vs Bayern Munich: Build up and Confirmed Line-ups – Giroud dropped, Lacazette starts.

Bayern vs Arsenal
Arsenal take on Bayern Munich in their first clash of the International Championship Club in Shanghai, China.

Arsenal's record summer signing Alexandre Lacazette starts ahead of Giroud.
The France international will start against Bayern in what will be his first test against a European giant in a Gunners shirt.

Playmaker Mesut Ozil will also start for the Gunners but fellow star man Alexis Sanchez will not be involved.
The Chile international has been given an extended break after Confederations Cup duties.

Bayern meanwhile have a strong squad available and brought Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller, Mats Hummels, and Arjen Robben along with them.

The Germany giants will be without Manuel Neuer to injury, meanwhile Arturo Vidal, Joshua Kimmich, Sebastian Rudy, and Niklas Sule are all absent through injury or rest.

On paper this is a friendly but Arsenal will be looking to get their own back after a humiliating 10-2 defeat on aggregate against Bayern in last seasons Champions League.

Higuain heading To London For Medical After £23m Fee Agreed

Gonzalo Higuain’s protracted move to Arsenal is inching closer by the day with the Guardian one of several outlets reporting that the striker is on his way to London to undergo a medical after we agreed a £23m deal with Real Madrid.

After weeks of negotiations which saw the two clubs clash over a fee, with Arsenal believed to be refusing to meet Madrid’s £25.5m asking price, it seems we’ve finally had a breakthrough with the newspaper claiming a £23m deal has now been agreed.

Higuain’s father, and agent, Jorge confirmed they have been given permission to talk with the Gunners, although slightly worryingly he also hinted that Juventus may still be in the running for his sons services:
“We have been given permission by Real Madrid to negotiate with Arsenal. With luck I will see my son in the Premier League soon.”
“There isn’t anything signed yet, but the negotiations are very advanced. We haven’t spoken about the contract yet. Arsenal have made a great offer, in the same way as Juventus.”
Hopefully Higuain senior was talking in the past tense, as in Juventus did submit a great offer – but one that was rejected by Real Madrid – as I think Gooners would explode if he ends up heading to Turin instead of north London.

The Guardian seem confident it’s a ‘done deal’ though and they say the 25-year-old is now expected to land in London soon to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms – although other reports claim we’ve already agreed a three-year deal worth £100,000-a-week and he could be revealed as an Arsenal player as early as Friday, but this may just be conjecture at this point.

BREAKING: Fox News officially report Arsenal WILL sign Higuain

Wilshere confirm Higuain's move to the Emirates on Twitter

Jack Wilshere

The internet and social media sites were awash with speculation last night that Jack Wilshere had confirmed Gonzalo Higuain’s arrival at Arsenal after following the Argentinean on Twitter!

Higuain has been one of the “almost on the verge” of joining arsenal and completing his protracted move to the Emirates for what feels like forever now. Almost as much as Yann M’Vila was last summer, but still we await any official news from Arsenal or Real Madrid.

So you could forgive some Gooners for getting a little over excited when they noticed that young Jack Wilshere had followed Higuain last night on Twitter.

Check this out on Wilshere's twitter account

Comments like “we’re definitely buying Higuain, Wilshere just followed him!“. has make this sound true. Jumping the gun a little but when you’re waiting for a record signing to be announced, fans can sometimes look into things way to much.

Of course there is a small chance that Jack knows something we don’t and prematurely followed his soon-to-be new team-mate, but I still think that’s highly unlikely.

Wilshere’s ‘Twitter-gate’ came just hours after ESPN published an interview with him where he was asked about the prospect of Higuain joining the club, and he seemed excited by the idea and had some changing room banter already lined up.

We are proud to be the first in Vietnam says Chamberlain

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has spoken of his pride at being part of the first visit to Vietnam by a Premier League club.

The Gunners will face the Vietnamese national team on July 17 in Hanoi as part of the Asia Tour, which will also see them play in Indonesia and Japan.

Oxlae-Chamberlain is eagerly anticipating the trip, and is looking forward to giving something back to the Club’s passionate supporters.

“To be able to go to different parts of the world and experience different cultures is fantastic”

“To be able to go somewhere where they haven't experienced an English team coming over, especially a big club like Arsenal, is brilliant,” he told Arsenal Player.

“For them to be able to show their support for us, because they don't get to come to many games, is really good [and for us] to go to a beautiful country like Vietnam and say hello to the fans is a really good thing to be a part of.

“I am really excited. Last year was my first experience of Asia and it was a very good one. The people out there are really friendly and excited to see us, to give back to them what they give to us is brilliant.

“We are venturing into different parts of Asia, which is also really exciting. To be able to go to different parts of the world and experience different cultures is fantastic and they are all Arsenal mad out there, too. Hopefully we can go out there and put on a good show for them. We can't wait to go.”
